Window well covers

You no longer have to worry about window well covers that don’t exactly fit or are not sturdy enough to stand on. Our covers are custom-made to fit your window well. Stop worrying about intruders! While these covers let in plenty of light, they can be made to latch down like a security window. They can also be opened from the inside like an emergency exit. When safety latch is not included, covers are easily lifted from the outside for window well cleaning and repair.

What else makes our window well covers special? Add a decorative design to your window cover. One of our Colorado customers had us add a “sunrise over the prairies” on the east-side window well covers and a “sunset over the mountains” on the west. Submit a sketch or photograph of the design you want or let us draw a rough draft per your verbal description. We can also make sturdy and rust-proof shelves or plant stands for inside the window well to hold your plants.

Plant Stands and Holders

We can craft beautiful stands and holders for your plants. Our design or yours. Many styles are available: free standing in multiple sizes, table top, patio, shelving for inside kitchen bay windows to hold plants, baker’s rack style for multiple layers, inserts for window wells, wall brackets, etc.

Decorative details are too many to describe but can include things like cable rims, glass or metal tops or shelving, rose vines, nature scenes, rainbows, suns, moons, stars, southwestern designs, your logo, or just simple and elegant burnished finishes. Outdoor plant holder shown will swing in the wind like a weathervane.

Handrails and Bannisters

Our most popular design includes four pieces of twisted quarter-inch pipe (see picture) Other designs are available or submit your idea. Handrail mounts to the wall. If you give us the location of studs we can mount brackets. Surface is clear-coated so the railing will never rust and the finish is lightly sanded to produce beautiful highlights against a natural black finish. 90 degree elbows round-off rail ends to the wall. This handrail is made to pass building codes.

Gates

Our gates are as sturdy as they are decorative. Made to your dimensions, each gate is custom-made using one of our standard designs or your unique request. Made of round or square mild steel, the gates have barrel hinges for easy lubrication. Many different latch styles are available.

Gates can be plain or decorated with flat or three-dimensional designs. One gate we made for a home-owner was covered with butterflies, dragonflies, and lady bugs. Another gate made for the Whitaker Elementary School in Boulder, Colorado has a metal snake coasting along the top. A third and very unique gate made for a home-owner sported a Halloween-type cat, made of quarter-inch solid round bar in the silhouette of an arched cat. Fences and Stair-guards

As with the railings and gates listed above, there are many designs available for custom-made fences and stair-guards. Some of our most popular, include simple polished or burnished rails and posts with any of a variety of perforated metal grating in-between. (See picture) Fences and stair-guards can be made using any of our standard designs or per your personal design and specifications. Materials include steel, copper, aluminum, etc. Product will meet United Builders Code standards.

Rafters and Ceilings

We make custom rafters and ceilings made of metal. Strong and beautiful, these architectural points are made for show as well as support. Pictured is a unique ceiling installed in a Boulder, Colorado home. Our second picture is of rafters supporting the ceiling of the great room in a mountain house.

Fireplace Mantels, Mantel Brackets, and Fireplace Screens

Custom designed, these mantels and screens can be made to compliment a contemporary-style room. The mantel shown features quarter inch steel plate. Very heavy, this mantel attaches into wall studs.

We can also make brackets to support stone slab or wooden mantels as well as mantels made of other materials. Brackets can be simple or ornate to match the overall décor of the house.

As with gates, fireplace screens can be framed with round or square steel surrounding various types of screen.

House Fixtures

We can custom-make many sorts of household fixtures, from carriage lamps, to house signs, custom designed sconces, lamps, lamp posts, chandeliers, brackets, etc.

Tables

The table shown was made of mild steel, burnished for beautiful highlights and clear coated so it will never rust. This table has a custom-designed “sun over the mountains” design that is topped with a glass or smoky-glass table top. One customer wanted a “show case” under the table top where western items (spurs, bits, etc) could be displayed. Tables can be made to your specification and design and can have a second shelf below.

Tables can be made for any office or home environment including coffee-table, dining room, breakfast nook, end table, night stand and patio styles.

Chairs

We have crafted everything from an antique, decorated metal chair for the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (to be auctioned for a fundraiser) to one-of-a-kind rocking chairs sporting tractor seats. Send us your design request via the Quick Quotes page.
